Signs of the times

"The Lord has made all for Himself, Yes, even the wicked for the day of doom."   Proverbs 16:4   In other words, God created everything -- and all things fit into His overall plans and purposes. While we don't understand it all, He has use for everything, even for wicked things that bring pain and death. Wickedness and evil  help us to see our need for the Savior who frees us and for God's daily grace in all our circumstances.

God will not be mocked. Nor does He change with time. Nor does human nature. We, like Israel, tend to forget that God (not clever people) is the One who gave us freedom and peace in this great nation. But when we ignore His ways, He once again withdraws His protection and turns us over to the natural consequences built into His creation.
