'Prayer Warrior' Pastor Tortured, Then Hung to Death in Church; Congregation Terrified: A pastor in India who was known for long five- to six-hour prayer sessions was found beaten, tortured and hung to death from the rafters of his church, parishioners said. The murder has deeply shocked the congregation. (May God comfort and strengthen the congregation!)

Hans and Sophie Scholl: The ultimate sacrifice in Nazi Germany: Today marks 75 years since the deaths of two brave young Christians who stood up to the might of Nazi Germany at the height of the Second World War. Midway through 1942, university students Hans and Sophie Scholl helped form the White Rose – a non-violent anti-Nazi resistance group. ...

The White Rose movement began creating leaflets aimed at the millions of Germans who were blind to Nazi atrocities. The leaflets were posted to houses and in public places around Munich, where Hans and Sophie were studying, highlighting the Jewish holocaust, which they called a crime “unparalleled in all of history”. They knew they risked their lives, but because of their strong Christian convictions the siblings knew they had to take action.

Every leaflet produced and distributed by the White Rose quoted scripture. Sophie’s favorite verse was James 1:22 – “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.”

Sophie and her brother were arrested on 18 February 1943.... On 22 February, they were tried by the German People’s Court and found guilty of high treason, and subsequently executed at Stadelheim Prison. ...Sophie’s final words were: “God, you are my refuge into eternity”.

They ordered him to throw it away, and when he steadfastly refused, they buried him alive." ...

He also revealed that despite being offered freedom for renouncing their religion, believers in the notorious prison camps refuse to do so.

Christian refugees told to 'prove' their faith: ‘Christians who have converted from Islam and want to remain in Austria because of the threat of persecution and death they would face if they returned their home countries are being forced to “prove” their conversions. ... “Converts are being asked increasingly difficult questions about the Trinity... questions which 90 percent of Austrian protestants would not be able to answer,” said Karl Schiefermaier, a national leader of the Lutheran Church in Austria. Trump Administration Begins First Phase Of Border Wall Construction At Calexico On Mexican Border: It encompasses an area bisected by the New River, where smugglers are known to guide people through polluted waters. The project, which includes a bridge over the river, is expected to take 300 days. The only way to realistically stop illegal immigration is to secure a border perimeter on the exposed areas of where you country borders with other nations. Israel has built a massive border wall, and it has greatly reduced illegal immigration.

The assignment featured an article in which the author argues that despite differences among Christianity, Judaism and Islam, they all worship the same God. ...Ward took offense to the assignment, saying the article was "utterly incorrect..." She said her daughter would not complete the assignment. "Do you know what your children are being taught: Muslims believe in the same God as Christians and Jews?"

Trump Divides Americans and Un-Americans: ‘’There are two stories of America... On one side there are pilgrims settling a new land and on the other colonists ethnically cleansing the native population. ... The justices ruled Thursday a former fire captain who was fired for sending emails with religious content through his work account can sue the Spokane Valley Fire Department for damages because his First Amendment rights were violated.

Franklin Graham warns of deep state coup against President Trump: One of the nation’s most prominent Christian leaders said he fears President Trump is facing a grave domestic threat by forces who want to take over the White House. "I believe we are in a coup d'etat," Franklin Graham said... "There are people in this country who are wanting to destroy the president and take over the government by force."

"Oh You Cross-Worshippers, We'll Kill You All": ...over the past ten years the Middle East's Christian population has shrunk by 80% and warned that unless current trends are reversed, Christianity "will vanish" from its ancient homelands in a few years' time. Around the year 2000, there were 1.5 million Christians in Iraq; today there are only 100,000 -- roughly a 93% percent drop... In Syria, the largest cities "have lost almost all of their Christian population."

Former Teacher Has Certificates Suspended for Speaking Against Sin of Homosexuality on Facebook: New Jersey Department of Education has suspended the teaching certificates of a former high school teacher who came under fire seven years ago for speaking against the sin of homosexuality.... Jenye “Viki” Knox, 56, first came under fire in June 2011 after she posted comments on Facebook decrying the promotion of the homosexual lifestyle Union High School.

Funding: ...the United States negotiated a reduction of over $285 million off the 2016-2017 final budget. ...we reduced the UN’s bloated management and support functions, bolstered support for key U.S. priorities throughout the world, and instilled more discipline and accountability throughout the UN system. “....We will no longer let the generosity of the American people be taken advantage of or remain unchecked....

Haley’s statement comes after the U.N. voted to condemn the United States for President Donald Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. The resolution, backed by nations with long records of extreme human rights abuses, passed 128-9 last Thursday. Haley immediately responded by threatening to reduce America’s U.N. funding.

School Board Member Says Spiritual Battle in Public Schools Worse Than When He Was a Marine: ‘Pastor Alvin Dupree ... vows he will not back down from speaking about Jesus despite pressure to do so. ... "I will not be silenced." Dupree spoke at the Appleton North High School graduation last spring, at which time he spoke about the value of leaning on God through difficult times.

Dupree was referring to the suicides of two students that year. One of those students was Erika Winkler. Her mother told CBN News her daughter was bullied for her faith, and that contributed to her suicide. ...the school superintendent received a number of complaints saying Dupree's expression of his devotion to God was offensive. One woman told the superintendent she felt it was inappropriate that Dupree mentioned God, Lord or Jesus "no less than five times" in a public high school graduation ceremony and said the pastor's speech was "like a sermon."

Syrian Christians Cry ‘Jesus!’ Before ISIS Mass Beheading: The Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL) executed 12 Christians, including a 12-year-old boy, after they refused to abandon their faith and convert to Islam. ... “In front of the team leader and relatives in the crowd, the Islamic extremists cut off the fingertips of the boy and severely beat him, telling his father they would stop the torture only if he, the father, returned to Islam,” revealed Christian Aid Mission.

“When the team leader refused, relatives said, the ISIS militants also tortured and beat him.... Proud Fathers Showed What It Means to Die for Christ’: The children of the 21 Coptic Christians beheaded by the Islamic State terror group in Libya back in February 2015 have said that they are "proud" of the courage their fathers showed the world by refusing to renounce their faith.

"The great news about the families of the martyrs of Libya is that even after more than two years they still live in the condolences of the Holy Spirit and they stick to their faith that their martyrs showed to the whole world; how the real Christian should live and die for the glory of Christ..."

The Faith of Corrie ten Boom: Corrie ten Boom is one of my heroes of the faith. ... She and her family hid Jews in their home to protect them from being sent to the prison camps. One day the Nazi officers arrested Corrie and her family for hiding Jewish people in their home and they were sent to prison. Corrie and her sister Betsie were eventually sent to the Ravensbruck death camp. Corrie is the only one of her family that survived, and her story is written in her book called The Hiding Place. The Bible says: “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and forgive their sin and heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7.14)

We now have the example set by South African Christians who responded to such a call by travelling hundreds of miles across the country to join an estimated 1.7 million people petitioning the God of Israel to intervene in their nation’s desperate problems with corruption at government level spiraling out of control. Amidst the ever-increasing carnage and chaos there does not seem to be any one person, group, country or international body with the ability restore calm, or even basic common sense.

Forgiveness: Muslims Moved as Coptic Christians Do the Unimaginable: ...Adeeb was watching a colleague in a simple home in Alexandria speak with the widow of Naseem Faheem, the guard at St. Mark’s Cathedral in the seaside Mediterranean city. ... the guard had redirected a suicide bomber through the perimeter metal detector, where the terrorist detonated. Likely the first to die in the blast, Faheem saved the lives of dozens inside the church.

Similarly, after ISIS ordered another Christian youth in Syria to embrace Islam, he too refused and was slaughtered for it.
