Question:  What do you know about Reiki?

Response: It's a popular but occult holistic health practice that clashes with Christianity -- another illustration of the master-deceiver's masquerade as "an angel of light." See Polarity.

You may want to read these promotional teachings from The International Center for Reiki Training:

What is Reiki?  "Reiki is a technique for stress reduction and relaxation that allows everyone to tap into an unlimited supply of "life force energy" to improve health and enhance the quality of life. ... The ability to use Reiki... is transferred to the student by the Reiki Master. ...

"A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through you and surrounds you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit and creates many beneficial effects including relaxation and feelings of peace, security, and well-being. Many have reported miraculous results."

Notice that this "radiant" universal force is omniscient -- all knowing and all wise. Its masters and practitioners equate this New age "God" or force with Self. From an occult perspective, it makes holistic sense. In its mystical context, everything is connected and all is One. This universal god or wisdom or consciousness  is the central unifying Force or Source in New Age mysticism and holistic healing methods:

"The word Rei as it is used in Reiki is more accurately interpreted to mean supernatural knowledge or spiritual consciousness. This is the wisdom that comes from God or the Higher Self. This is the God-Consciousness which is all knowing. It understands each person completely. It knows the cause of all problems and difficulties and knows what to do to heal them....

"Ki means the same as Chi in Chinese, Prana in Sanskrit and Ti or Ki in Hawaiian.... Ki is the life force. It is also called the vital life force or the universal life force. This is the nonphysical energy that animates all living things. ...

"Ki is used by martial artists [Yoga] in their physical training and mental development. It is used in meditative breathing exercises called Pranayama, and by the shamans of all cultures for divination, psychic awareness, manifestation and healing. Ki is the nonphysical energy used by all healers. ...

"It is the God-consciousness called Rei that guides the life force called Ki in the practice we call Reiki. Therefore, Reiki can be defined as spiritually guided life force energy. ...

"While Reiki is spiritual in nature, it is not a religion. It has no dogma, and there is nothing you must believe in order to learn and use Reiki. In fact, Reiki is not dependent on belief at all and will work whether you believe in it or not. Because Reiki comes from God, many people find that using Reiki puts them more in touch with the experience of their religion rather than having only an intellectual concept of it. ...

"In order for the Reiki healing energies to have lasting results, the client must accept responsibility for her or his healing and take an active part in it. Therefore, the Usui system of Reiki is more than the use of the Reiki energy. It must also include an active commitment to improve oneself in order for it to be a complete system."

World Peace Crystal Grid Placed at the North and South Pole and Jerusalem: "Their design allow Reiki to be sent to them and stored like a battery which is then made available to promote peace on earth. Their placement at the magnetic poles of the earth takes advantage of this tremendous energy source that also functions like the crown and root chakras of the planet. The Reiki energy emanating from the Peace grids is carried by the magnetic field around the planet to heal and balance the earth’s aura. The reservoir of healing energy it holds is available to empower all those working toward world healing and peace....

"The World Peace Crystal Grids were placed at North Pole on May 3, 1997 at the South Pole on December 17, 1999, and in Jerusalem in October, 2004."

Practice Guidelines: "Take several centering breaths. We recommend you start each session with a healing affirmation and close by giving thanks. Here is a link to one such affirmation. Hold your hands in prayer if you wish. This is very centering.

"To add depth to your meditation and healing practices, visualize yourself connected to a field of love and light within, above and about our earth. You can connect with this network energetically through the web and spiritually with intention. The strongest global effect will be generated by both logging on to this site and intending to share healing....

"New Energy Worker: Always start and close with a spiritual affirmation -- at least a simple intent that all your work go for the highest good. Log on to one of our healing areas, Personal Healing or Building A United Healing Light, and feel the healing energy. Intend that you may send energy to a healing focus. Visualize a field of light and love about yourself and flowing from yourself to a healing subject. Do this for several moments. Then rest in the glow of this light.

"If you have faith and the will to visualize you can share distance healing. In Reiki training you learn how to very naturally tap into healing energies and use spiritual techniques to amplify distance healing. ...

"Experienced Energy Worker: Use a healing practice you know. Intend to exchange or share healing energy at one of our healing areas. You may focus on the idea of healing, visualize an image with intent or look at a picture. Always start with an affirmation of positive intent. Follow your intuition-heart."
