Reading this page, I was struck
by the rather arrogant comments from "a physicist". I thought readers of this
page might appreciate the opportunity to read an alternative view of the "TRUE
science" of quantum physics by someone who is certainly qualified to comment.

Though Andy studied physics and we both are familiar with Heisenberg, we don't know enough to evaluate the accuracy of this website. However, its author's bio is impressive: "Dr. Paul Marmet is a senior researcher at the Herzberg Institute of Astrophysics of the National Research Council of Canada, in Ottawa. From 1967 to 1982, he was director of the laboratory for Atomic and Molecular Physics at Laval University in Québec. A past president of the Canadian Association of Physicists, he also served as a member of the executive committee of the Atomic Energy Commission of Canada from 1979 to 1984. Marmet was made an Officer of the Order of Canada in 1981 - The Order of Canada is the highest decoration bestowed by the Canadian government."
One excerpt:
[Since Heisenberg is one of the most important contributors to the Copenhagen
interpretation, let us take his own assessment. Heisenberg [1.5] states clearly:
"The law of causality is no longer applied in quantum theory."
In order to be coherent, physicists today should no longer try to find the cause
of a physical phenomenon. According to Heisenberg's statement, there is no
cause, it is simple magic. Greenberger [1.6] uses the same expression and states
simply, "Quantum Mechanics is Magic".
Much more recently, following the use of the Copenhagen interpretation, Feynman
[1.7] concludes:
"The theory of quantum electrodynamics describes Nature as absurd from the point
of view of common sense. And it agrees fully with experiments. So I hope you can
accept Nature as she is - absurd."
Even worse, Mermin states that the results of those absurd interpretations are
enjoyable. He [1.8] writes: "The EPR experiment is as close to magic as any
physical phenomenon I know of, and magic should be enjoyed."]
From Fabienne Durdin: What Carolyn D. says about the school situation in the UK (Comments on Charts, below) is true in Australia as well. The language used is much the same as in your charts.
We were talking with a high
school English teacher who had just retired and who was bemoaning the fact that
he'd had no choice but to pass all his final year students even though half of
them were essentially illiterate (that is, they couldn't read and write). They
all had to graduate. He was looking to spending his retirement setting up
literacy classes for these young people. The definition of 'literacy' is now
"ability to function in society" -- this is what a young man we know has been
taught in his university teaching course (he is training to be a high school
English teacher). Hmmmm.
Looking through various education department/ministry websites from all over the
world, what stood out was how similar they all are -- same or similar
'buzzwords', goals, vague definitions, and so on.
Carolyn D.: I was just reading the one about Educational Buzzwords - how true, what you have written!! My sister is a teacher in a State run school here in the UK, so she hears these things all the time (and warns me about them!!).
It was interesting yesterday, when I was teaching my eldest son some sums he was getting stuck on, because he was scowling and huffing and puffing when he saw that some weren't correct. I asked him if the teachers in his school he used to attend ever corrected them and he said that they didn't.
Schools here promote pride and arrogance. There is an air of 'everybody is good really' instead of 'For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God' (Romans 3:23). Apparently you are not to say a child is naughty anymore. My husband is a lecturer in a college for students from the age of 16 up to Old Age, he was saying that, the courses which are run now, nobody must fail - even if somebody gets a very low grade, the lecturers aren't allowed to fail them!!
In the primary schools as well (ages 4 -11) the children have circle time and discuss issues. They are not allowed to disagree with someone else because 'every opinion is valid!' Where does that leave Christians when witnessing to people of other faiths? I am so grateful to the Lord that He has allowed me to teach my lads at home - even if it will be for a short time! (I believe that in the future home-educating will be banned, because governments don't want people teaching their children things contrary to their policies.).
Thank you for sharing what is happening in the UK, Carolyn. And thank you for affirming that the chart -- Three Sets of Meanings of Educational Buzzwords -- is as relevant in the UK as in the US and the rest of the world.

Dennis Monroe: I find your chart "Made
in the image of God" to be most enlightening. I never really had a clear understanding
of just what it means to be made in
the image of God. Now I do. I hope I get it right. God gave to all of humanity the
individual parts that make up the human soul, i.e., the heart, the mind, the conscience,
the will, and our emotions. All of these parts that make up the human soul are the "life"
that has been breathed into us by God.
We are all born with our "life" grossly
distorted, corrupted, in sin, separated from God, and at enmity with God. It is a life
that is directed inwardly toward ourselves, and away from God. Unless we are converted
unto Christ, our life's direction will remain unto ourselves, to our own corrupt ways, to
the things of wickedness, evil and sin, "apart
from Christ."
The only way the direction of our
corrupted life can ever be redirected toward God is by the work of the Holy Spirit, in
which we are caused to realize our corruption, to know we need to be redirected, that we
have a need to be saved, and then to be saved by looking to the Cross of Christ. Nothing
of our own selves can contribute anything to it. We do
not have to "do" anything.
It is as when Moses lifted up the serpent, all the Israelites had to do to be saved, to live, was look at the serpent and believe that by doing so, they would not die. That is all we have to do with Jesus. Nothing more is required.
I also do know, however, that even after conversion, the sin nature is still there, and at different moments in time we find ourselves on the wrong side of the chart. I know when I am there, and I hate it, but through prayer, reading His Word (His love letters to His children), and looking to His face, and His Cross, the moments spent on the wrong side of the chart will become less and less. The Lord is lovely.

From Laura Enomoto: I've been a believer for 30 years and I never ceased to be amazed at how much I am still learning! You have ministered to me by your charts, first the Three Cultural Paradigms is amazing. You've managed to sum it up so simply in this chart.
Second, the chart that follows on Biblical versus Cultural Christianity is truth! The reason it ministered to me is because in the past, I've often wondered what the "gap" was that I encountered as I've tried to witness to unbelievers - and now it seems so clear! Without the presence of the Holy Spirit in their lives, the world (the masses) cannot understand what it means to have a true relationship with Christ. The misunderstanding that Christianity is a "religion"; that the Bible is a "collection of guidelines, allegories, myths and stories"; that our priority is to "bring people to the church"; etc. are all reasons why this "gap" occurs and continues to remain. It's sad but I know I just have to keep my mind focused on the One who saved me.
I was also blessed by your response to an anonymous Pokemon response, when you quoted the Scripture in I Corinthians 1:18: "For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are saved it is the power of God."
I thank God for your ministry and I'll continue to pray that the message will reach the world for Him . . .
