Lagstein notes that the Attorney General is a 'political animal.' He states that he has been in communication with Brown’s office and assures the crowd that 'the fault WILL be found with the people that did the video — not ACORN.' If that’s true, then the fix is in and Brown’s investigation is just a scam on the public. But, targeting the filmmakers will also put Brown’s office in an especially difficult position."

ACORN May Face Trial for First Time as Nevada Prosecutors Allege 'Widespread' Criminal Policies: "ACORN was using the names of those casino games as a cover to illegally pay workers to sign up voters as part of an illegal quota system. ...authorities have secured guilty pleas from several who admitted to falsifying voter registration forms. ...'We came across policy manuals that outline their [ACORN's] policy of creating a quota system...This, in fact, was something that was widespread and something the organization itself knew about...."

Acorn Who? "Mr. Obama took great pains to act as if he barely knew about Acorn. In fact, his association goes back almost 20 years. In 1991, he took time off from his law firm to run a voter-registration drive for Project Vote, an Acorn partner that was soon fully absorbed under the Acorn umbrella. The drive registered 135,000 voters and was considered a major factor in the upset victory of Democrat Carol Moseley Braun....Mr. Obama's success made him a hot commodity on the community organizing circuit. He became a top trainer at Acorn's Chicago conferences. In 1995, he became Acorn's attorney, participating in a landmark case to force the state of Illinois to implement the federal Motor Voter Law. That law's loose voter registration requirements would later be exploited by Acorn employees in an effort to flood voter rolls with fake names. /In 1996, Mr. Obama filled out a questionnaire listing key supporters for his campaign for the Illinois Senate. He put Acorn first (it was not an alphabetical list).
...in a [2007] speech to Acorn's leaders prior to their political arm's endorsement of his presidential campaign, Mr. Obama was effusive: 'I've been fighting alongside of Acorn on issues you care about my entire career.' Given his longstanding ties with Acorn, President Obama's protestations of ignorance or disinterest in the group's latest scandal seem preposterous."

Sued for exposing ACORN's suggestions for prostitution, tax fraud: "A defense fund is being launched for Hannah Giles, the 20-year-old student who with filmmaker James O'Keefe ran an undercover sting on the ACORN organization for which President Obama worked, revealing a multitude of recommendations from employees of the community organizers on how to facilitate underage prostitution and avoid taxes."

U.S. charges Obama fund-raiser in $290 million fraud: "Hassan Nemazee, a fund-raiser for Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and other Democrats, has been indicted.... Nemazee [was] head of a private equity firm and an Iranian American Political Action Committee board member...."

Obama is governing as a community organizer: "Obama was a community organizer with Project Vote, an affiliate of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN).... The recent effort by the White House to keep track of all of the rumors about the healthcare reform bill must lead all but the most ardent Obama supporters to acknowledge one thing: The White House has implemented the radical tactics the president learned in the streets of Chicago, organizing for ACORN. In a book written in 1986... titled 'Organizing the Movement,' author Gary Delgado a 14-year ACORN organizer, trainer, and recruiter explicitly and unapologetically outlines the guerilla response of ACORN when confronted by opposition. ... He writes: 'Organizing campaigns implement what organizers call the three I's: Identify the enemy, isolate him, and ice him."

Planned revolution? Inside Obama's Acorn: By their fruits ye shall know them: "In the few stories where Obama's role as an Acorn 'leadership trainer' is noted, or his seats on the boards of foundations that may have supported Acorn are discussed.... Acorn, says Stern, grew out of 'one of the New Left's silliest and most destructive groups, the National Welfare Rights Organization.' In the 1960's, NWRO launched a campaign of sit-ins and disruptions at welfare offices. The goal was to remove eligibility restrictions, and thus effectively flood welfare rolls with so many clients that the system would burst.       "As Talbot was led away handcuffed, charged with mob action and disorderly conduct, she explicitly justified her actions in storming the meeting. This was the woman who first drew Obama into his alliance with Acorn, and whose staff Obama helped train.... The other product the FDA identified in this news item sounds like some kind of off-brand coffee/dairy creamer combination.... And what market-distorting results do we get for those government incentives? In 2006 alone: 289,750 abortions. ... Warns of Huge Crop of Afghan Opium Poppies: "Afghanistan will produce another enormous opium poppy crop this year, close to last year’s record harvest, and Europe and other regions should brace themselves for the expected influx of heroin, the United Nations warned.... Afghanistan supplies 90 percent of the world’s opium.... The cultivation of cannabis, the plant that yields marijuana and hashish, is increasing, the report added, making Afghanistan one of the biggest suppliers of cannabis as well.... In 2007, 477,000 acres were under poppy cultivation, yielding an estimated 9,000 tons of opium.... Most poppy farmers in the south and west of the country said they paid a tax to mullahs, the Taliban, or local officials..."

Iran: As repression escalates, Iranians grow restless: "Iran's Islamic theocracy was created through the union of Shi'ite activism and Marxist revolutionary thought.... Christianity is severely repressed. Citizens who are 'born' Christian (Christian ethnic minorities such as Armenians and Assyrians) are 'protected' (graciously permitted to live) as long as they remain subjugated. It is forbidden for Christians to share their faith, and it is forbidden for a Muslim to change his religion.... Jury Rigged --Identity thieves trick the unwary: "The scammer calls claiming to work for the local court and claims you've failed to report for jury duty. He tells you that a warrant has been issued for your arrest. The victim will often rightly claim they never received the jury duty notification. The scammer then asks the victim for confidential information for 'verification' purposes.... Social Security number, birth date, and sometimes even for credit card numbers and other private information — exactly what the scammer needs to commit identity theft. Youths Kick Man to Death on Crowded Antwerp Bus [Belgium]: "Guido Demoor, a father of two, intervened when six 'youths' got on bus 23 in Antwerp and began to intimidate passengers.... Demoor asked the 'youths' to calm down, whereupon they turned on him, savagely beating and kicking the man.... They then pulled the emergency brake and jumped from the bus leaving their victim to die.... Three Moroccans, two of whom are minors, were arrested....

"...bus drivers in Sint-Niklaas refused to drive out in protest against the aggressive behaviour of immigrant youths on the buses. In today’s De Morgen drivers, who have all asked to remain anonymous for fear of reprisals, relate experiences of 'buses being demolished while en route' and of 'youths harassing girls, who beg the driver to protect them.' One of the drivers said: 'If they refuse to buy a ticket I leave it. I do not want to be beaten up....' Another driver said: 'Last week an old man was beaten up on my bus. [T]the site’s content has become so skanky that even some corporate advertisers, including Weight Watchers and T-Mobile, are either pulling their ads from MySpace or threatening to do so."

Uganda shaken by fund scandal: "Uganda, which continues to win praise from President Bush and others as a model of success battling AIDS, is reeling from the disclosure that top officials, their relatives and colleagues siphoned off tens of millions of dollars in grants from the Geneva-based Global Fund.... 'The money came, and people were diving in for the kill,' said Justice Ogoola..... As of last year, the United States had given the fund $1.49 billion....The investigation uncovered typical tokens of corruption, including brand-new luxury cars and junkets to exotic cities.... grossly inflated salaries... largely undocumented expense allowances."

The intimidation tactics are allegedly used to protect powerful superiors who might be incriminated by damaging information."
