February 2011
Is El Baradei An Insider? "He was chased out of Egypt by Mubarak and remained outside for 12 years until his return last week. He was also the head of the IAEA....Mohamed El Baradei has been connected to the CFR (Council On Foreign Relations). In fact the whole notion that a united front of parties including both Western Liberals and the Muslim Brotherhood could somehow work together was already set into motion well before the current crisis.
"...the Western press has, since the protests in Egypt began, pushed Mohamed El Baradei as the uniting figure for all of the above mentioned groups. One more dot should connect who this man really is working for: The International Crisis Group. This organization is heavily funded by George Soros, a man experienced in funding revolutions and placing leaders he wants.... Well Mohamed El Baradei sits on the International Crisis Group’s Board."
(Feb. 8) The Brotherhood makes its move, the U.S. looks on (Abe Greenwald, 2-6-11): "...in his February 4, 2011 Friday sermon, Iranian Supreme Leader Al-Khamenei exhorted his listeners as he described the events in Egypt as an 'Islamic liberation movement.' He....called the Camp David peace treaty signed by Egypt and Israel the 'Treaty of Shame.'...
"In November 2007, Lt. Col. (ret.) Jonathan D. Halevi wrote... that the Muslim Brotherhood's 'top priority is constructing a Muslim infrastructure in the West which will slowly but surely enable it to rule during the 21st century. As far as the final goal is concerned, there are no policy differences between al-Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood. The two organizations have the same objective: to place the entire world under an Islamic caliphate.'...
"In September of 2010, Muslim leaders were brought to the White House in order to provide the groups 'funding, government assistance and resources.' ...'the White House initiated a taxpayer-funded government stimulus program for the attending Muslim Brotherhood-associated groups.' In fact, 'the sponsoring organization (CCMO) or Coordinating Council of Muslim Organizations has a long history of associations with the Muslim Brotherhood.'
"...expert testimony has been given by people who have lived under sharia law and/or have devoted their lives to investigating the terror perpetuated by the Muslim Brotherhood. In fact, Nonie Darwish described 'a former Muslim critic of Islam [who has stated] that he is no longer confident that the US government will protect his civil rights as long as there are people in [the American] government such as Dalia Mogahed, the first White House Muslim advisor who is a firm defender of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), both groups that are tied to the Muslim Brotherhood."
(Feb. 7) Dangerously underestimating the Muslim Brotherhood: "In Iran in 1979, leftist and other secular forces, central to the rising pressure that ousted the Shah, were duped and then outflanked by Islamist supporters of Ayatollah Khomeini, who took power and have cemented it for 32 years since. The Islamists achieved this despite having constituted only the most marginal of forces just a couple of years earlier....
"In the Palestinian territories in 2006, the US insisted on pressing ahead with elections that...saw the underestimated Islamist Hamas terror group gain a parliamentary majority, which it then exploited to violently take over the Gaza Strip a year later.
"In Lebanon over the past few weeks, the Iranian-inspired, controlled and financed Hizbullah outmaneuvered the hapless prime minister Saad Hariri, to complete what amounts to a gradual, highly sophisticated takeover of the country....
"Washington’s apparent disinclination... to internalize the dangers highlighted by the Iran, Gaza, Lebanon and Turkey disasters, and thus do everything in its power to prevent the Muslim Brotherhood presiding over a similar process in Egypt, is incomprehensible.... the White House’s subsequent reported moves to legitimate Egypt’s Islamists – whose outlook conflicts utterly with the democratic agenda – make no sense, and suggest a frighteningly superficial understanding of the Muslim Brotherhood’s intentions and potential achievements....
"...numerous 'experts' in both the US print and electronic media over the past week have been concertedly representing the Muslim Brotherhood as benign, hapless, not particularly popular, or all three of the above. Far from benign, the Brotherhood is committed to death-cult jihad in the cause of widened Islamist rule, was the progenitor of Hamas and central to Islamist radicalization among the Palestinians....
"Pew Research Center of Muslim attitudes... indicates how frighteningly fertile the ground is for the Islamists in Egypt: 82% of Egyptian Muslims favor stoning people who commit adultery; 77% favor whipping/ cutting off of hands for theft and robbery; and 84% favor the death penalty for people who leave the Muslim religion. ...a striking 59% side with the fundamentalists and only 27% with the modernizers.

"The current regional uprising has reemphasized Israel’s unique centrality to America as the region’s only truly dependable ally....Why, then, Israel’s leaders must surely be asking their American counterparts in their current frantic consultations, would the US government help legitimate, on yet another of our newly unstable frontiers, a bleak, benighted movement that can be guaranteed to use any influence it accrues to undermine those shared interests and values?"
(Feb. 6) Egypt blames Hamas for dramatic gas explosion: "Militants working on behalf of Hamas were responsible for the dramatic explosion at a gas terminal that disrupted the supply of fuel to Israel.... Egypt supplies Israel with some 30 percent of its gas needs, while Jordan relies on Egypt for up to 80 percent of its fuel needs."
(Feb. 4) Soros-funded "expert" defends Muslim Brotherhood: "Brian Katulis of the George Soros-funded Center for American Progress...told Matthews on the Monday edition of Matthews’ MSNBC “Hardball” show that, on the matter of Egypt, 'We have got to [go] beyond this addiction to dictators…' He welcomes the participation of the Muslim Brotherhood in a new Egyptian government, saying, '…let them be part of the Egyptian politics.'...
[Frank Gaffney of the Center for Security Policy rebuts Katulis and his views with quotes] from a Muslim Brotherhood document, entitled, 'An Explanatory Memorandum on the General Strategic Goal for the Group in North America.' It says,
"The Ikhwan [Muslim Brotherhood] must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and ‘sabotaging’ its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious over all other religions.”'
(Feb. 3) Egypt now fears Obama a 'Manchurian President': Top members of the Egyptian government say they feel betrayed by President Obama, charging that he is acting against American interests...'I told him none of this should be a surprise,' said Klein, 'that the Obama administration has developed an extensive relationship over the last few years with allies of the Muslim Brotherhood. ...Obama has been closely associated throughout his political career with radical-left elements who have long petitioned for policies many believe are aimed at weakening the American enterprise both domestically and internationally."
"Some Muslim clerics are already calling the riots in Egypt simply an extension of 1979's Islamist conquests. 'Thirty-one years after the victory of the Islamic Republic, we are faced with the obvious fact that these movements are the aftershocks of the Islamic revolution,' said Iranian cleric Ayatollah Ahmad Khatami.... 'The fate of those who challenge [our] religion is destruction.'...
"The leader of Jordan's Muslim Brotherhood, Hammam Saeed, warned that the unrest in Egypt will spread across the Mideast until Arabs succeed at toppling leaders allied with the United States.
"...prominent Salafi cleric Abu Mundhir Al-Shinqiti issued a fatwa on the website Minbar Al-Tawhid Wal Jihad encouraging the protests in Egypt, claiming Islamist jihadis are now on the verge of a historic momen..."'The Muslim Brotherhood seeks to spread Islam around the world, in large part using nonviolent means. Hamas and al-Qaida are violent Brotherhood offshoots. In November, the Brotherhood's new supreme guide, Muhammad Badi, delivered a sermon....'Resistance is the only solution,' stated Badi. ...the U.S. is easy to defeat through violence, since it is 'experiencing the beginning of its end...."
"The Obama administration also has evidenced a working relationship with several U.S.-based Islamist organizations that are listed by the Brotherhood as 'likeminded' organizations. One such group is the Islamic Society of North America, or ISNA, a radical Muslim group that was an unindicted co-conspirator in a scheme to raise money for Hamas. ISNA was named in a May 1991 Muslim Brotherhood document...as one of the Brotherhood's likeminded organizations of our friends who shared the common goal of transforming countries into Muslim nations."Obama pals provoked Egypt chaos: "Months before protests erupted throughout Egypt aimed at toppling the regime of President Hosni Mubarak, President Obama's own associates provoked anti-regime chaos on the streets of the now embattled Middle East country and longtime U.S. ally. Egypt has accused the Obama administration of championing the protests and of pressuring Mubarak to resign. The main opposition group, the Muslim Brotherhood, stands to gain a major foothold in the region as a result.
"Yesterday, hundreds were wounded and at least one person was killed as thousands of Mubarak supporters clashed with anti-government protesters in Cairo, with some throwing petrol bombs, wielding sticks and charging on horses and camels...
"Frank Wisner, a former U.S. ambassador to Egypt, specifically told Mubarak yesterday the U.S. would not continue to support his rule and he must step down....
"Last week, a senior Egyptian diplomat stated the Egyptian government suspects elements of the current uprising there, particularly political aspects, are being coordinated with the U.S. State Department and Obama administration. The senior Egyptian diplomat told WND the Mubarak regime suspects the U.S. has been aiding protest planning by Mohamed ElBaradei, who is seen as one of the main opposition leaders in Cairo....He is seen as an ally of the Muslim Brotherhood.
"Last weekend, the London Telegraph reported the U.S. Embassy in Cairo in 2008 helped a young dissident attend a U.S.-sponsored summit for activists in New York, while working to keep his identity secret from Egyptian state police. ...he was involved in helping to stir the current protests. The report claimed the dissident told the U.S. Embassy in Cairo that an alliance of opposition groups had a plan to topple Mubarak's government. The disclosures, contained in U.S. diplomatic dispatches released by the WikiLeaks website, show American officials pressed the Egyptian government to release other dissidents....
"The White House has been almost openly championing the unrest in Egypt."
Saul Alinsky's Rules for RadicalsMuslim Brotherhood demands that Mubarak government goes: "The Muslim Brotherhood, seen as Egypt's biggest organised opposition group, said on Thursday that President Hosni Mubarak and his government had to go... 'We demand that this regime is overthrown and we demand the formation of a national unity government for all the factions,' the Brotherhood said in a statement broadcast by Al Jazeera. (Reuters)
Jordan's powerful Muslim opposition warns that Arabs will topple US-allied Mideast leaders: "The leader of Jordan's powerful Muslim Brotherhood warned Saturday that unrest in Egypt will spread across the Mideast and Arabs will topple leaders allied with the United States. Hammam Saeed's comments were made at a protest outside the Egyptian Embassy in Amman, inspired by massive rallies in neighbouring Egypt demanding the downfall of...Mubarak."
Revolutionary Fervor to Spread Beyond Arab States - Europe Next: "Now Egypt is in the throes of insurrection, and Algeria, Jordan, Morocco and Yemen are already targeted for revolutionary change. The richer and more tightly controlled Kingdoms of the Middle East will not be immune to challenges from their citizenry to break the chains of royal rule....
"What is transpiring in the Arab world will spread throughout many European states....Though millions marched through the streets of Athens, Brussels, Dublin, Lisbon, London and Madrid, when the protests ended, the governments were barely shaken, let alone toppled. Unlike the autocratic Arab regimes, where the tight grip of repression could only be broken by violence, in the 'democratic' West the illusion of representation and placating government promises mitigated the violence....
"The unintended consequences of the regime changes in North Africa and the Middle East, and the uprisings we forecast that will roil Europe will be as fully dramatic as their intended consequences: the overthrow of governments. The calls by Presidents, Prime Ministers, cabinet officials and foreign policy experts for 'orderly transition of power' are nothing more than diplomatic doublespeak and pure windbaggery. There is no such thing as a clean and simple revolution." See The fall and rise of human violence
(Feb. 2) Red Carpet for Islamists: "All signs from Egypt and U.S. leadership now point to an increased role for the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) in Egyptian politics — a terrifying reality that has just been given a blessing by the Obama administration, no less. In a highly disturbing departure from American foreign policy, Washington officially accepted a Muslim Brotherhood presence in a new Egyptian government, meaning that a U.S. president has publicly embraced a faction in Egypt that is intent on establishing a Khomeini-like Islamic Republic....Officially banned under Mubarak, it is no secret that the MB wants to establish an extremist Islamic regime in Egypt similar to the one Khomeini set up in Iran after that country’s 1979 revolution....
”.. the Muslim Brotherhood also has the blessing and support of informal opposition leader, Mohamed ElBaradei, who is almost assured to play a significant (if not leading) role brokering a new coalition government.... ElBaradei likens the group...to evangelical Christians in the U.S. and Israeli Orthodox Jews. ElBaradei, who the MB supported to lead the opposition against Mubarak, is a Nobel Prize laureate and has had amicable relations with President Obama in the past....
"...Egypt resembles, in some respects, Russia after the fall of the tsar. Until they seized power by force several months later, the extremist Bolsheviks played at being democrats, calling for free elections to a national assembly and seducing the impoverished, uneducated masses with the powerful slogan: 'peace, land, bread.' But instead of freedom, democracy and prosperity, Russia’s downtrodden classes instead got the Red Terror and murderous totalitarianism....
"...while MB sympathizers say the Islamist organization only wants the peace deal renegotiated, in reality, it wants Israel destroyed. ...Mohamed Ghanem, an Egyptian MB member...said: 'Prepare for war with Israel.'...
"Monday’s White House statement is also less than shocking. It is simply in keeping with what one has come to expect from a president who in the past has exhibited destructive anti-Israeli and pro-Muslim tendencies."
What will Obama do if Egyptian-style crisis, unrest and revolt hist America? "Think it couldn’t happen here? ....Our economy, our country, and global conditions are deteriorating faster than any expert imagined. The threats we face are unprecedented. ...our Fed can’t print money fast enough to keep up with deteriorating conditions. Our 'real' U.S. unemployment may in fact be close to 20%. Among youth and minorities unemployment may be well over 30%.
"For the first time in modern history, there are few jobs for millions of new college graduates, while they each face education debt of $100,000 or more. There are seemingly no jobs at all for minority youth without college educations. All at the same time that prices are exploding for basic essentials.
"Sound familiar? Those are the exact same incendiary ingredients that led to revolt, revolution, and anarchy in Egypt.... So how will President Obama react to massive protests, riots, and revolt in the USA? Will he choose to shut down the Internet? ...Will Obama call in the military to contain the riots of unemployed, hungry, angry youth here in America’s biggest cities? Will he allow free speech — even if massive protests call for Obama to step down?...Egypt’s crisis could eventually be coming to a city near you." See Biblical signs of the times
Spencer: Muslim Brotherhood Poised for Power in Egypt: "The Brotherhood now has its best chance in decades to seize power there and establish an Islamic state, which bodes ill for both the United States and its most reliable Middle Eastern ally, Israel.
"The Camp David Accords have kept an uneasy peace between Egypt and Israel since the late 1970s; although Egypt has ignored many of its provisions (particularly regarding not allowing the dissemination of bloodthirsty anti-Semitic material in Egypt, where Mein Kampf remains a bestseller), it has refrained from attacking Israel outright and has actually reined in some Palestinian jihadist activity along the Gaza border."
"...the Mubarak regime could collapse at any moment; the ascendant Middle Eastern ideology is the political Islam of which the Muslim Brotherhood is a foremost exponent. And that ideology is inveterately hostile to both Israel and the United States. Armed members of the jihad terror group Hamas, which styles itself in its Charter as the Muslim Brotherhood for Palestine, are reportedly crossing into Egypt from Gaza and attempting to join in Brotherhood activities....
"The Muslim Brotherhood is also an international organization. According to a captured internal document... its goal in the United States is 'eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and 'sabotaging' its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God's religion is made victorious over all other religions.'" [1-31-11]
Egypt: Christians fear Muslim Brotherhood takeover, Coptic Pope forbids Christians to participate in demonstrations: "...a Muslim Brotherhood state in Egypt would make their situation even worse than it is already....Former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton warns Egypt's ancient Coptic Christian minority could become increasingly endangered.... 'The overthrow of the Mubarak regime will not by any sense of the imagination lead to the advent of Jeffersonian democracy,' Bolton said. 'The greater likelihood is a radical, tightly knit organization like the Muslim Brotherhood will take advantage of the chaos and seize power."
Egyptian military flexes muscle amid continued chaos, unrest: "Fighter jets swooped low over Cairo yesterday in what appeared to be an attempt by the military to show its control of a city beset by looting, armed robbery and anti-government protests.... The United States Embassy in Cairo told its citizens in Egypt to consider leaving the country as soon as possible.... Turkey was evacuating about 750 citizens and the Chinese government warned against travel to Egypt. ....State television said the authorities also decided to close down the Cairo offices of the Qatar-based Al-Jazeera television station...."
More than 102 dead and thousands of prisoners on the loose in Egypt: "Gangs of armed men attacked at least four jails across Egypt before dawn today, helping to free hundreds of Muslim militants and thousands of other inmates as police vanished from the streets of Cairo and other cities....
"Soldiers were positioned at the Pyramids and Cairo’s Egyptian Museum – the holding place for Tutankhamun’s priceless golden mask and other artifacts....
"The military deployment came amid an almost complete collapse of law and order.... Residents in Alexandria, north-west of Cairo, were forced to stand guard outside their homes armed with sticks as gangs rampaged through the city."

Egypt and Tunisia usher in the new era of global food revolutions: "Political risk has returned with a vengeance. The first food revolutions of our Malthusian era have exposed the weak grip of authoritarian regimes in poor countries that import grain, whether in North Africa today or parts of Asia tomorrow....
"As we sit glued to Al-Jazeera watching authority crumble in the cultural and political capital of the Arab world, exhilaration can turn quickly to foreboding. This is nothing like the fall of the Berlin Wall. The triumph of secular democracy was hardly in doubt in central Europe. Whatever the mix of aspirations of those on the streets of Cairo, such uprisings are easy prey for tight-knit organizations – known in the revolutionary lexicon as Leninist vanguard parties. In Egypt this means the Muslim Brotherhood....It does not take a febrile imagination to guess what the Brotherhood’s ascendancy might mean for Israel."
Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood eyes unity gov't without Mubarak: "The Muslim Brotherhood, Egypt's largest opposition group, is in talks with other anti-government figures to form a national unity government without President Hosni Mubarak.... Gamal Nasser, a spokesman for the Brotherhood, told DPA that his group was in talks with Mohammed El Baradei - the former UN nuclear watchdog chief - to form a national unity government without the National Democratic Party of Mubarak." None dare call it dictatorship: "Why the need to continue to link Obama's political opponents with the massacre in Tucson? Because silencing opposition is a prerequisite to preparing public opinion for an intensified Obama dictatorship. Harsh words? Not if you consider the facts. Faced with defeat of cap-and-trade legislation in the Congress, Obama has vowed to implement CO2 restrictions anyway by executive dictate...
"Faced with congressional and court opposition to the Federal Communications Commission taking regulatory control of the Internet, Obama's majority of the FCC board did it by making a rule that gave them that authority. The Internet is the last part of the American economy that could be called "free." Not anymore. What, if not dictatorship, is ignoring opposition from Congress and the courts and announcing new regulation of the Internet?
"Last week, the president announced his re-election campaign theme 'Together We Thrive' at the memorial for victims of the Tucson massacre. The theme is lifted from an essay...[that] calls Obama's campaign 'a chance for a revolution' and describes America's free-market economy as setting Americans 'one against the other.' It's standard Marxist tripe..."

Never let a shooting go to waste: "Rahm Emmanuel's notorious line 'Never let a serious crisis go to waste' is a fitting description of how the left is using the tragic shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and others to malign and silence political opponents....Stalin used one such occasion to purge the Soviet Union of anti-Stalinists. In his book, Communism: A History, Richard Pipes sets the stage: By 1935…food rationing was abolished and Stalin's regime needed another crisis to justify its despotic powers. It also needed enemies. As Fidel Castro [explained]: 'The revolution needs the enemy....
"And if enemies were lacking, they had to be fabricated. ...Joseph Stalin stated: 'Crisis alone permitted the authorities to demand – and obtain – total submission and all necessary sacrifices from its citizens.'....This is a classic diversionary tool in the play book of the politics of personal destruction: 'Accuse your opponent of what you are guilty of.'
"David Axelrod, President Obama's top political adviser, verbalized this Machiavellian tactic in an NPR interview, April 19, 2010: 'In Chicago, there was an old tradition of throwing a brick through your own campaign office window, and then calling a press conference to say that you've been attacked.'
"In their particular focus on Sarah Palin, the left seems to be following the Rules for Radicals, written by famous Chicago communist community organizer Saul Alinsky: 'Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. In conflict tactics there are certain rules that [should be regarded] as universalities. One is that the opposition must be singled out as the target and 'frozen.'"
See Saul Alinsky's Rules for RadicalsA Communist Conspiracy? “'The Communists,' says Marx and Engels, 'are on the one hand, practically, the most advanced and resolute section of the working-class parties of every country...' They are the captains of revolution, the strategists and community organizers. They turn the poor against the rich, the woman againn, the child against the parent.....
"...former Communist Whittaker Chambers explained the true nature of Communism and the source of its power. 'I see in Communism the focus of the concentrated evil of our time,' wrote Chambers. 'You will ask: Why, then, do men become Communists?' It is not due to stupidity or moral depravity. According to Chambers, 'Communism makes some profound appeal to the human mind.'”

Muslim Reconquest of Spain nears completion -- “ISLAMO-CHRISTIAN” EUROPE EMERGES:"The number of Muslims in Spain has climbed from 100,000 in 1990 to over 1.5 million in 2010. Mosques are being constructed on a grand scale throughout the country. The city of Barcelona, widely known as a European Mecca of anti-clerical postmodernism, has agreed to shell out nearly $30 million in public funds for the construction of an official mega-mosque with a capacity for thousands of Muslim worshipers....An official in the office of the Mayor of Barcelona says the objective is to increase the visibility of Muslims in Spain, as well as to promote the 'common values between Islam and Europe.'...

Holder fears attacks but works with extremists...warns of homegrown jihad while maintaining ties to radical groups: "Obama and White House officials long have been accused of minimizing Islamic extremism, including recent attacks carried out by U.S. Muslims.
"Holder told ABC News yesterday: '"It is one of the things that keeps me up at night. You didn't worry about this even two years ago – about individuals, about Americans, to the extent that we now do. And – that is of – of great concern. 'The threat has changed from simply worrying about foreigners coming here, to worrying about people in the United States, American citizens – raised here, born here, and who for whatever reason, have decided that they are going to become radicalized and take up arms against the nation in which they were born.'"
Government Unions vs. Taxpayers: "The rise of the labor movement in the early 20th century was a triumph for America's working class. In an era of deep economic anxiety, unions stood up for hard-working but vulnerable families, protecting them from physical and economic exploitation.
".Much has changed. The majority of union members today no longer work in construction, manufacturing or 'strong back' jobs. They work for government, which, thanks to President Obama, has become the only booming 'industry' left in our economy. Since January 2008 the private sector has lost nearly eight million jobs while local, state and federal governments added 590,000. Federal employees receive an average of $123,049 annually in pay and benefits, twice the average of the private sector....Unionized public employees are making more money, receiving more generous benefits, and enjoying greater job security than the working families forced to pay for it with ever-higher taxes, deficits and debt. The rise of government unions has been like a silent coup."

The Islamic tsunami: "Is an Islamic tidal wave coming? 'There is a plan to take over Western civilization.' warns David Rubin [former mayor of the Israeli town of Shiloh]. ...the first wave of the tsunami is Islamic terrorism ... 'a strategy intended to intimidate people so they won't speak out when the second wave hits.'...The second and more threatening wave is the creeping takeover of Western political and social institutions, something Mr. Rubin calls the 'silent tsunami.'
"The spearhead of this movement is 'collusion between Islamic ideologues and the far left to promote the idea of moral relativism,' he said, 'that all values and ideologies are equal.'... One dangerous manifestation of this viewpoint is the fashionable intellectual movement to infiltrate Shariah law interpretations into American jurisprudence." All throughout Europe a new reality is rising: entire Muslim neighbourhoods where very few indigenous people reside or are even seen.
